chiropractic care in Boise.

Chiropractic at Red Mountain is not a quick adjustment on a busy schedule. It's a structural and neurological evaluation built into the larger functional medicine picture, because how you move and how your nervous system signals affects nearly everything else.

More than the adjustment.

The chiropractic adjustment is one tool among many. We use it when the structural exam calls for it. But we also evaluate joint mechanics throughout the body, soft-tissue restrictions, postural patterns, gait, and how the nervous system is regulating muscle tone.

When patients come in with chronic pain that hasn't responded to other care, the answer is often somewhere other than the spot that hurts. An in-depth structural exam is often the key to finding hidden problems.

Why we do it alongside functional medicine.

Structural and biochemical issues are not separate problems. A nervous system under chronic structural stress will affect digestion, hormones, sleep, and immune regulation. A body fighting chronic inflammation, gut infection, or methylation dysregulation will show it in muscle tone, posture, joint mechanics and pain patterns.

Treating one without the other often leaves patients half-better. Treating both, with the same doctor in the same visit, is faster and often lasts much longer.

Techniques we use.

We adapt the technique to the patient, not the other way around. Depending on the case, that may include:

  • Diversified manual adjustments
  • Activator (low-force) adjusting
  • Soft-tissue and myofascial work
  • Joint mobilization
  • Cranial techniques
  • Applied kinesiology muscle testing
  • Postural and movement assessment
  • Home exercise prescription

Whether you're coming in for straightforward chiropractic care for a specific complaint or want it woven into a broader functional medicine plan, we have a treatment plan to meet your needs.

Who we see.

Chiropractic at Red Mountain is for patients who want care that asks why, not just care that patches the symptom and rebooks. We commonly see:

  • Acute back and neck pain
  • Chronic headaches and migraine
  • Sciatica and radiating nerve pain
  • Athletic performance and injury recovery
  • Pediatric chiropractic care
  • Postural and ergonomic strain from desk work
  • TMJ and jaw dysfunction
  • Musculoskeletal pain rooted in systemic dysfunction

The common thread is that we want to understand the cause. Many of the cases above turn out to be downstream of a larger systemic problem — which is when the functional medicine and applied kinesiology side of the practice gets folded in.

Common questions about chiropractic care here

Do I need to be a functional medicine patient to see Dr. Rostenberg for chiropractic?
No. Many patients come to Red Mountain for chiropractic care alone, especially for back, neck, headache, and athletic-performance complaints. The deeper functional medicine, applied kinesiology, and methylation tools are available if and when the case calls for them, but chiropractic care as a standalone service is welcome.
What chiropractic techniques do you use?
Dr. Rostenberg uses manual diversified adjusting, drop-piece, and instrument-assisted (Activator) techniques, selected to fit the patient and the joint being treated. Most visits also include soft-tissue work and rehab guidance. Adjustments are precise rather than forceful, and the goal is durable change, not a long string of repeat visits.
Do you adjust children?
Yes. Dr. Rostenberg sees children for the issues common at each age (colic, plagiocephaly, posture, sports injuries, sleep, ADHD-spectrum support). Pediatric adjustments are extremely gentle (often just sustained light pressure) and are modified to match the patient.
What are your chiropractic appointments like?
Every chiropractic visit at Red Mountain is private. There is no open adjusting and no group appointments in a shared space — you have the doctor's full attention for the entire visit. Our shortest visit is 15 minutes, which is unusual for chiropractic (three- to four-minute adjustments are common at high-volume clinics). This extra time is what lets us solve more in one visit and treat you more thoroughly.
